OPERATION ABLE IS SEARCHING FOR
SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN’S TOP OLDER WORKERS
Nominate Outstanding Older Workers by Monday,
November 30, 2009 |
|
Operation ABLE of
Michigan is searching for the area’s top older workers to
honor at the Twentieth Annual “Ability is Ageless” Award
Luncheon.
The awards will be presented on Thursday, December 10, at
the Hyatt Regency Dearborn from 12 noon to 2 p.m.
“We are looking for outstanding
older workers, ages 50 and older, who make everyone’s day
better through their hard work and dedication,” says Mary
McDougall, executive director of Operation ABLE of
Michigan. “We encourage companies to give these special
employees some well-deserved recognition.”
Each nominee will receive a Certificate of Distinguished
Service and be featured in the luncheon's slide presentation
and program book. A committee of human resource
professionals and workforce development specialists will
select nine honorees to receive the Most ABLE Award.
These honors will be presented by Carmen Harlan, WDIV-TV
senior news anchor. Luncheon reservations are available for
$65 per person and may be obtained by
downloading the reservation form or by calling (313)
832-0922.
To be eligible, a nominee must be currently employed, live
or work in Michigan, be 50 years of age or older or have 25
years of service to a company. Retirees are not
eligible for the award. There is no limit to the
number of employees a business or organization can nominate.
