The Ability is Ageless Award
Luncheon isan opportunity for businesses to call attention to
outstanding mature employees and to thank them for their hard work and
the role they play at the company.
It is an excellent way to
recognize the value of truly resilient workers who daily make a difference to the company
through their experience, their work ethic, and their commitment to excellence.
To be eligible for an
"Ability is Ageless Award," the employee(s) must:
live or work in Michigan,
and
either be
50 years of age or older by October 20, 2004
or have at least 25 years of service with his/her
employer.
Employee nominations
may be made by an employer, union, or co-worker. A company can nominate as
many outstanding eligible employees as it wishes to honor.
If the nomination is made by
a co-worker, the nominee's supervisor must agree. Many companies
require that
their Human Resources Department coordinate or approve all nominations.
The individual must agree to
be nominated.
If the person who is being
honored is the owner of the company, the nomination can be made by an appropriate company
executive or colleague.
In submitting a nomination, the company agrees to purchase
tickets
for the luncheon. Reservations are $60 per person.
Tables of 10 are available for $600.
