Thursday, November
10, 2005
Noon to 2 P.M.
Hyatt Regency Dearborn
"Goes above
and beyond the call of duty ... dedicated ... does
whatever it takes to get the job done ... lifelong learner
... 70 year old dynamo ... tireless in his quest for
excellence ... passionate about her job."
These words have been used by employers to describe
some of the men and women who will be honored at the 2005 "Ability
is Ageless" Luncheon for the roles they play in the success of their
companies.
There
is still time for you to
honor the
men and women in your company or organization for their hard work
and dedication and at the same time
salute Congressman John Dingell
for his 5 decades of service in the U.S. House of
Representatives. The congressman will be presented with the
2005 Neal Shine Lifetime Achievement Award for his remarkable record
of service and his many accomplishments.
The deadline for submitting nominations to be
considered by our awards selection committee is October 27.
From the forms received by that date, nine nominees will receive
Most ABLE Awards. All nominees will receive Distinguished
Service Awards and will be featured in a special slide show during
the luncheon.
To be eligible for these honors, an employee must
either be at least 50 years of age or have 25 years of service in
his company.
The nomination form is attached or can
be downloaded from our web site
by clicking here.
If you miss the October 27 deadline, your
company's outstanding older workers can still be included in the
program booklet summarizing their accomplishments. Their
photos can also be included in the luncheon slide show if you e-mail
a digital photo by November 4.
The luncheon is open to anyone who wants to join in this
celebration, but
reservations are required ahead of time and can be made
online,
by completing the attached form, or by phoning Operation ABLE of
Michigan at (313) 832-0922.
Complete details on the luncheon are on our web site
at
www.OperationABLE.org/luncheon. Attached with this issue
of ABLE eNews are a fact sheet on the luncheon, the
nomination form, and a form for making your reservations.
You can also make your reservation online on our web site by
clicking here.
Join us in celebrating the accomplishments of some of
our community's outstanding older workers and in honoring Congressman
Dingell for his 50 years of service to Michigan and to our nation.
