Operation ABLE of Michigan is hosting several events in the coming weeks that will be of interest to employers and community leaders.
  • March 23 - 20th Annual "Ability is Ageless" Job Fair.  Full details are in this edition of ABLE eNews.
  • May 24 - "The Gems of Detroit," a celebration of ABLE's 20th anniversary of service to the South-east Michigan community.  This unique fund-raising event will take place at the historic Gem Theatre in downtown Detroit.  Exemplar Awards will be presented to a select group of Detroiters in recognition of their accomplishments.  Watch for details.
  • June 13 - The annual Think Tank, featuring a presentation on the new AARP study "The Business Case for Workers Age 50+".  Details will be posted on the ABLE web site and include in future editions of ABLE eNews.

"Ability is Ageless" Job Fair set for March 23.  Register now!

The 20th Annual "Ability is Ageless" Job Fair is a unique opportunity for employers to tap into the mature labor pool to meet their needs for dependable workers with a very strong work ethic.

Operation ABLE will host this recruiting opportunity from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel in Southfield located at 16400 J.L. Hudson Drive in Southfield.

The registration deadline for companies is March 16.  The easiest way to register is to visit ABLE's web site at www.OperationABLE.org/register.htm.  The registration form is attached with this message and can be also downloaded by clicking here  or can be obtained by calling 313-832-0922.  The registration fee for exhibitors (which includes booth space, signage, and a continental breakfast and deli lunch for 2 company representatives) is $225.
